Hemp Degummed Fibre, also known as Noil Hemp Fibre or Short Fibre.
Hemp Short Fibre is ideal for textile projects that would use wool tops or roving, craft, paper making, soft toy stuffing, cushions… The Short Fibre also dyes well as it has a soft texture. The fibre is soft, absorbent and may be used as a natural stuffing for upholstery, pillows, stuffed animals, insulation, and more!
This raw Short Fibre which has been processed to remove the lignin. Lignin is a compound in the hemp plant fibres that holds the fibres together andgives the hemp stalks their strength and rigidity.
Hemp Short Fibre is obtained through crushing of the stems to break it down and separation of the long fibres for spinning. When removed from the fibres, they begin to separate, becoming softer and finer leaving the short fluffy fibres.
100% A Grade Undyed Hemp Short Fibre
At the end of this product's life, Hemp Short Fibre is 100% biodegradable, unlike synthetic fabrics or tanned leather.

If you haven't come across the term "indent" before, we highly recommend you get used to it as it's becoming the more thoughtful and economical way of supplying product.
Essentially indent (or the indent model) refers to the process of taking orders and then producing, or providing based on that order. This prevents over-ordering and wastage of product.
If you're reading this, it's because you've found one of our Hemp Fabrics that is available for indent ordering only. This means it's not something we keep on hand readily available. If you wanted to purchase indent, minimum fabric meterage starts at 300m, but depending on the fabric, we could work with a smaller quantity.
Do not despair if you've found your perfect fabric but can't purchase 300+m. Leave your details with us, even if you're after a couple of metres. We often have overwhelming interest that small orders make up the big order!
