Hemp milk is kind of an acquired taste, but these little seeds are packed with protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals. We blend ours with a little coconut oil, salt, and a couple of dates to help cut the grassy flavour.
MAKES ABOUT 2 1/2 CUPS
Ingredients
½ cup raw shelled hemp seeds
2 cups water
2 tablespoons date syrup (or 2 pitted medjool dates)
pinch salt
1 tablespoon coconut oil
Method
Blitz all ingredients until smooth. Pour through a fine mesh strainer and store in the fridge for up to two days.
