Our Founding Story

Hi there, thanks for stopping by.

We are Beatrice and Nicole, the mother-daughter duo behind Hemp Gallery Australia.

Beatrice began Hemp Gallery with her husband Ray with the environmentalist desire to bring education and information to the masses about the value of hemp. After discovering that Hemp could offer all our basic needs; food, clothing, shelter and fuel in an environmentally sustainable way, they realised that the hemp industry was a perfect fit for their personal philosophy. In the late 90's Hemp Market (as it was known back then) was created in the garage of their old home. With a small selection of fabrics they became pioneers in the Australian Hemp Industry.

Throughout the years more and more products have come on board including our internationally loved Hemp Linen range.

As all good things come to end Ray (semi) retired in 2017 which paved the way for Nicole to come on board and take the business in a new direction.

We are incredibly proud to share our story with you and have loved watching Hemp Gallery Australia grow from strength to strength, year after year. We've now surrounded ourselves with a fun and passionate team who are committed to making the world a better place - one hemp product at a time.

Go and get amongst it!

Beatrice and Nicole

    Hi Beatrice and Nicole,

It was great to read your story and congratulations in being hemp pioneers. As you need we need people like you in this small industry that has such potential to go big!

My focus is on Hempcrete. You may have seen some of my videos here:

I’d love to do a video about your business! I am based in Redfern and I am often around the Inner West so I’d love to meet up for a coffee just to meet you and learn more about your business and products and see what comes out of it.

    Best wishes
    Jeremy
