Learn a new way to build: Hempcrete workshop — 1-2 August 2015
There are lots of activities happening at Hemp Gallery this month, but top of the list and most exciting for Ray and colleagues, is the upcoming Hemp building workshop we are organising at Kimbriki Eco House in Terry Hills on the 1st and 2nd of August.
We will be demonstrating the infill method of constructing a hempcrete building where the material is placed and tamped between shuttering around a light timber frame. The technique is BCA approved and results in a building that is healthy to live in and cheap to heat and cool because of the insulating qualities of hempcrete. Anyone interested in sustainable building methodologies will find this workshop of great value.

Hemp products price change from 1 July 2015
We have maintained the same prices for our Hemp Gallery products since 2009. The dramatic shift in the value of the Australian dollar in recent months has had a big impact on the cost of our fabric and consequently on the cost of manufacture of all our Australian-made products. The imminent and unavoidable price rise for the majority of our products will be effective from 1st July 2015.
