About us
My wife, Beatrice and I started Hemp Gallery in the hope of doing some good
in the world. We believe that environmentally sustainable economic development
is vital for the future of the planet.
After discovering that one plant, Hemp,
could provide all our basic needs; that is food, clothing, shelter and fuel in an
environmentally sustainable way, we realised the Hemp industry provided us with
a vehicle that was a perfect fit for our personal philosophy and decided we had
to get involved.
Beatrice, a classical pianist and I, a builder, had no real
business skills, only a passionate commitment to our belief in the future and
the value of Hemp as an environmentally benevolent agricultural resource. The
past 8 years spent developing Hemp Gallery has been a huge learning curve for
us, which we couldn’t have mastered without the help of some great people who
shared our vision.
Informational talks
In order to raise awareness of this great plant, Beatrice and I have made
ourselves available to give informational talks at schools, universities,
technical schools, radio and television, indeed anywhere there is an audience
and an opportunity.
Our vision
Our long term vision is to see Hemp utilised in third world communities to
provide environmentally sustainable access to raw material, which can be
processed with the most basic of equipment into food, clothing, housing and
fuel, thus giving these communities an opportunity for self sufficiency and
independence.
Hemp also has the potential to provide a profitable crop for the drought
stricken Australian cotton and rice farmers due to its modest water and no
agricultural chemical requirements, and diverse industrial applications.
The hemp market is rapidly expanding world wide and we believe that everyone
who purchases a Hemp product is casting a vote for an environmentally
sustainable future with their consumer dollar.
Whether you buy from us or other suppliers we thank you for your support!
